A care home with family values at its heart
Rowallan House started off as a family home and has grown into a care home with family values at its heart. The house was bought in 1979 by the Stack family before they opened it up as a care home in 1981.
From day one, Rowallan House has been family-led and began with the family living alongside residents. Our aim is and always has been for residents to feel happy and at home while at Rowallan. From the cooking and gardening to the caring, everything was handled by a family member to help create the friendly family atmosphere we have become known for.
Over the years, more family members have joined the staff, helping to carry on the traditions of Rowallan, as well as the high standard of care we have offered from day one. The team has also grown with new staff members recruited from the local community.
We make sure that every person we employ is right for Rowallan, while also ensuring they’re well looked after to make Rowallan House a happy home for all of our residents.
About us
Rowallan House is a family-owned business founded in 1982. Part of the Rowallan Group, the home has 41 beds and caters for people over the age of 65 and those with specialist care needs, such as dementia. Our residents are like part of our family, and we’re proud to deliver high levels of care in a comfortable home with a personal touch.
Our mission
Rowallan House is a real home where you or your loved one can live a rich and fulfilling life. Residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms with personal touches and items so they feel comfortable and at home. Visitors are welcome, and you’ll make new friends too.
